A Holistic Approach to

Therapy in Sarasota, FL

Blending somatic therapy, EMDR, and integrative

mental health for whole-person healing.

At Well Space Holistic Therapy, we’re not just here to help you “feel better”—we’re here to help you feel whole. Rooted in Sarasota, our practice was created to support those seeking a deeper, more compassionate path to healing through somatic therapy, EMDR, attachment theory and holistic psychotherapy.

We believe your body holds wisdom. Your emotions have meaning. And your healing doesn’t need to fit inside a clinical box. That’s why our therapy approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, nervous system support, and integrative tools that meet you where you are.

Hi, I’m Jennifer — I’m So Glad You’re Here

Trauma-Informed, Nervous System-Aware, Client-Led

I am a trauma-informed therapist deeply committed to supporting your journey toward healing, wholeness, and renewed connection with yourself. Trauma touches more than just the mind—it lives in the body’s sensations, the rhythms of your nervous system, and the deep stories held in your heart and spirit. Healing, then, is not simply about resolving thoughts or symptoms; it unfolds most fully when we engage your whole self—mind, body, and heart—in a safe, compassionate, and attuned space.

My work blends a range of evidence-based and relational approaches—somatic therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic principles, attachment theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to meet you exactly where you are. This integrative approach allows us to gently explore and process trauma on multiple layers. Through body awareness, we listen to the nonverbal wisdom your nervous system holds. Through emotional exploration, we give voice to feelings that may have been buried or overwhelming. Through EMDR and psychodynamic work, we reprocess painful memories and unearth unconscious patterns. Through attachment theory, we understand how early relationships shaped your inner world and your way of relating to others. Through DBT, we build practical skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and fostering mindfulness and self-compassion.

Together, we will create a therapeutic relationship rooted in safety, trust, and mutual respect—an essential container where healing can take place. I deeply honor the resilience and strength you carry, even when it feels hidden beneath pain, fear, or stuckness. Whether you are navigating the complexities of trauma, attachment wounds, overwhelming emotions, or struggles with regulation, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and clinical expertise.

Healing is a courageous process of reclaiming your body, your emotions, and your story—one that allows you to come back home to your authentic self. My goal is to help you cultivate greater self-compassion, build a sense of safety both within yourself and in your relationships, and awaken to new possibilities for connection, growth, and peace. Together, we will work toward not just relief from suffering, but the emergence of a more embodied, whole, and vibrant you.

My Nervous System

Regulates Best When...

  • When I’m in a new environment, I naturally slow down and become more present. Without the usual routines and pressures, my body finds a different rhythm—one that includes rest, curiosity, and moments of joy. Exploring new places gives my brain fresh input and my body a chance to soften. I notice how my breath deepens, and tension lets go. The distance from daily stress helps me reconnect to myself.

  • As a somatic therapist, I know walking, stretching, or simply changing my environment helps me regulate. Movement engages both brain and body, supporting the release of stress and inviting a sense of calm. It’s a reminder that healing doesn’t just happen in the mind—it happens in motion, in rhythm, and in breath.

  • Simple, intentional acts—like making a warm drink in the morning, reading something that nourishes me, or moving my body each day—help anchor my nervous system. These quiet rituals offer structure without pressure. They remind me that regulation doesn’t have to be dramatic; it can live in the everyday. Through repetition and care, these moments become signals to my body: you are safe, you are here, you can soften.

  • Being silly and lighthearted with my family helps me reset. Laughter, inside jokes, dancing in the kitchen—it all gives my nervous system a break from seriousness. Play invites spontaneity and connection, reminding me that joy is a form of regulation too. In those moments, I feel most alive and most myself.
