A Trauma-Informed, Nervous-System-Aware Approach to Healing
Healing isn’t linear—and it shouldn’t be clinical or disconnected either.
At Well Space Holistic Therapy, my approach is grounded in compassion, consent, and co-regulation. I offer therapy that’s body-based, trauma-informed, and deeply personalized. Whether you're moving through trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles, I’ll meet you where you are—with tools that support your nervous system, your story, and your soul.

Relational Therapy is a modern, attachment-based form of therapy that focuses on healing through the therapeutic relationship itself.
It’s grounded in the understanding that we learn who we are—and what to expect from others—through our earliest relationships. When those relationships were inconsistent, overwhelming, unsafe, or emotionally confusing, we often carry those patterns into adulthood.Relational Therapy helps you:
Understand why you react the way you do
Notice how old patterns show up in your present life
Build a sense of safety, trust, and connection
Develop a more compassionate and secure relationship with yourself
Rather than just focusing on symptoms, we explore the relational roots of your experiences so you can shift them at the core.
How Relational Therapy Works
In Relational Therapy, our work together becomes a safe place where old patterns can be seen, gently understood, and revised.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
1. The relationship between us becomes part of the healing
How you show up with me—your hesitations, your fears, your hope, your defenses—is valuable information.
We use these moments to understand how you learned to protect yourself, and we explore how it feels to be met with empathy rather than judgment.2. We pay attention to patterns
You might notice you always feel like a burden, or you wait for the other shoe to drop, or you try to stay emotionally small.
Together, we look at where that pattern came from and what it’s trying to protect.3. Emotional safety comes first
You don’t need to perform, fix, or impress. You don’t need to hide the messy parts.
Relational therapy creates a space where you can show up as your whole self and be met with steadiness.4. We practice new ways of relating
Inside our sessions, we experiment with things like:
Setting boundaries
Asking for what you need
Naming your emotions
Allowing yourself to be seen
Building trust at a pace that feels safe
This isn’t role-play—it’s lived experience. You get to feel what it’s like to be in a relationship that is consistent, attuned, and supportive.
5. The goal is lasting, internal change
As you experience a different type of relationship in therapy, your nervous system learns a new blueprint for connection.
Over time, clients feel:More grounded
More secure
Less reactive
More capable of intimacy
Better able to regulate emotions
Clearer in their identity and boundaries
Who Relational Therapy Helps
Relational Therapy is especially supportive if you struggle with:
Anxiety or chronic worry
Trauma or attachment wounds
Fear of being rejected or abandoned
Difficulty trusting others
People-pleasing or overfunctioning
Trouble setting boundaries
Feeling “not enough”
Shame or self-criticism
Relationship confusion or conflict
If connection has felt painful or unpredictable in your life, relational therapy offers a different experience—one that is steady, compassionate, and attuned.
Why I Use Relational Therapy
I believe healing happens in relationship, not in isolation.
You don’t need to navigate your emotions alone. In our work together, we create a relational space where you feel supported, seen, and understood—often in ways you may not have experienced before. This becomes the foundation for deeper healing, internal stability, and healthier relationships outside the therapy room.

Somatic Therapy is a holistic, body-centered approach to healing that integrates the connection between mind and body. It is based on the understanding that emotional distress, trauma, and stress are often stored in the body, manifesting as tension, chronic pain, or other physical symptoms. By working with both physical sensations and emotional experiences, somatic therapy helps clients process unresolved trauma, regulate their nervous system, and restore a sense of balance and well-being.
How is Somatic Therapy Used in a Clinical Setting?
In a clinical setting, somatic therapy is used to help individuals experiencing:
✔ Trauma and PTSD
✔ Anxiety and panic disorders
✔ Depression and emotional dysregulation
✔ Chronic stress and burnout
✔ Chronic pain or tension related to emotional distressA somatic therapist guides clients to tune into bodily sensations, breath, and movement as a way to access and release stored trauma or emotional blockages. Some key techniques used in clinical somatic therapy include:
Body Awareness – Helping clients recognize where tension, numbness, or discomfort is held in the body
Breathwork – Using controlled breathing exercises to regulate the nervous system and promote relaxation
Grounding Techniques – Practicing sensory awareness to bring the body into a state of safety and presence
Movement and Touch – Encouraging gentle movement or guided therapeutic touch to release tension and reconnect with the body
Titration & Pendulation – Gradually processing traumatic experiences to prevent overwhelm and support emotional resilience
Why Choose Somatic Therapy?
Unlike traditional talk therapy, somatic therapy goes beyond cognitive processing and engages the body's innate ability to heal. This approach is particularly effective for those who feel stuck in patterns of emotional distress, struggle with bodily symptoms of trauma, or find that verbal therapy alone hasn’t provided full relief.
Experience Healing Through Mind-Body Connection

EMDR is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing life experiences and trauma. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses on targeting unprocessed memories stored in the brain, which can cause emotional distress and contribute to negative beliefs or behaviors.
How EMDR Works
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, taps, or tones, to help reprocess distressing memories. This allows the brain to reframe those experiences, reducing their emotional intensity and enabling healthier emotional responses.Who Can Benefit from EMDR?
Originally developed to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), EMDR is now widely recognized as effective for:Anxiety and panic disorders
Depression
Grief and loss
Phobias
Addiction
Stress and performance issues
What to Expect in an EMDR Session
EMDR therapy is typically an 8-phase process that includes:History-taking and treatment planning.
Preparation. The therapist explains EMDR and ensures emotional stability.
Assessment. Identifying specific memories and negative beliefs to target.
Desensitization. Reprocessing the memory using bilateral stimulation.
Installation. Strengthening positive beliefs.
Body scan. Addressing any lingering physical tension.
Closure. Ensuring emotional stability before ending the session.
Reevaluation. Reviewing progress in the next session.
With EMDR, healing doesn't mean forgetting the past—it means freeing yourself from its emotional grip to move forward with clarity and resilience.

EFT is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps individuals, couples, and families process and transform their emotional experiences. Rooted in humanistic and experiential therapy traditions, EFT views emotions as a key pathway to healing and personal growth. Rather than avoiding or suppressing emotions, clients are guided to explore, understand, and restructure their emotional responses to promote psychological well-being.
How is EFT Used in a Clinical Setting?
In a clinical setting, EFT is applied through structured interventions designed to help clients engage with their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Therapists use EFT to address a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship distress.
For Individuals
EFT helps clients develop emotional awareness and regulation by working through past and present emotional experiences. Techniques commonly used include:
Emotion Awareness – Helping clients identify and articulate their emotions more clearly
Emotional Processing – Encouraging deeper exploration of emotions to uncover their underlying meaning
Transforming Maladaptive Emotions – Shifting painful or unhelpful emotional responses (e.g., fear, shame) into more adaptive emotions (e.g., self-compassion, empowerment)
Chair Work Techniques – Role-playing exercises, such as "empty chair" or "two-chair dialogue," to process unresolved emotional conflicts
For Couples
EFT is one of the most widely researched and effective approaches for couples therapy, helping partners improve emotional connection and resolve conflicts. In a clinical setting, EFT for couples typically involves:
Identifying negative interaction patterns that contribute to disconnection
Exploring underlying emotional needs and vulnerabilities
Restructuring interactions to promote secure attachment and trust
Strengthening emotional attunement and responsiveness
EFT for couples is particularly effective for issues such as communication difficulties, infidelity, emotional detachment, and relationship distress.
Who Can Benefit from EFT?
Emotion-Focused Therapy is ideal for individuals and couples who want to:
✔ Gain a deeper understanding of their emotions
✔ Improve emotional regulation and coping skills
✔ Enhance communication and connection in relationships
✔ Heal from past emotional wounds or trauma
✔ Develop greater self-compassion and resilienceGetting Started with EFT

At Well Space, we specialize in psychodynamic therapy, which helps individuals understand the roots of their emotional distress and behavioral patterns by exploring the unconscious mind. We believe that past experiences, especially from childhood, influence our thoughts and actions today. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, our skilled therapists guide clients in uncovering and exploring these unconscious dynamics. Using techniques like free association, clients gain insight into their struggles and develop healthier coping mechanisms. As your therapist, I create personalized treatment plans to foster self-awareness and reflection, empowering individuals to make meaningful changes in their lives. If you're dealing with past trauma or relationship issues, our clinic provides a safe space for healing and growth.
More Than Talk Therapy
Traditional talk therapy has its place—but sometimes words aren’t enough.
That’s why I integrate somatic therapy and EMDR into the work we do. These approaches help you gently access and release stored trauma, reconnect with your body’s signals, and build emotional resilience from the inside out.
You don’t have to re-tell or relive every painful moment. Together, we’ll move slowly, safely, and at your own pace.
You are not broken.
You are breaking through.
FAQs
Do you take insurance?
I am considered an "Out-Of-Network" provider, which means I do not accept any insurance directly. If you would like to use your insurance, then I can provide you with a monthly receipt called a "Superbill" and you can submit this to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance provider directly and checking with them to confirm if you have "Out-of-network" benefits.
Otherwise, you can choose to see me privately and not involve your insurance at all. See why many of my clients choose this option below.
What can I expect in my first session?
It’s all about YOU! Your first therapy session will be an assessment where I will gather information about your current concerns, medical and mental health history, and other important aspects of your life. We’ll work together to identify your therapy goals and discuss the frequency and duration of future sessions.
Do you offer online therapy?
YES! I understand that in today’s world, people often have busy schedules and may prefer the convenience and flexibility of attending therapy online. I offer services through a secure HIPPA-compliant and user-friendly platform.
